Life presents many challenges to stay balanced every day. Difficult times require additional support to work through the struggles we face. We can’t and shouldn’t struggle alone. I will create a safe, nonjudgmental place for you to navigate your feelings and share your most difficult life challenges. Sometimes the person that we struggle with most is ourselves. Removing shame and guilt and learning to love ourselves is one step closer to self-compassion and living a more joyful life.
I understand each person is unique and celebrate those differences by tailoring treatment to the individual. Together we will strive to eliminate what’s not working in your life and work toward finding peace and happiness. Life is about rewarding relationships with yourself and those around you. I have a passion for helping others make change in their life. I know the first step can be frightening; however, it is one step closer to changing and bringing more light into their life.
I have been married for 25 years and have 5 children. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Family Studies and Human Development from the University of Utah. I recently chose to pursue this passion for helping others further, by enrolling in a master’s program of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Utah Valley University. As a student intern, I am excited to put what I am learning in my graduate studies to use at Alliance Counseling Utah where I am working closely with my colleagues and professors to provide you with the support and help you are seeking.
